Building on the shared momentum, Juniper and HBF | HBF Textiles reflect on Co/Create, the experiential lounge unveiled at BDNY 2025, where the collaboration earned five distinguished awards.

Juniper received three distinctions at BDNY 2025:

The Dekauri Announced As Good Design Awards 2018 Winner

The DeKauri, a recipient of multiple awards, was named as 2018’s The Good Design Awards Winner for its innovative structure. This is the oldest design award worldwide, organized by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design since 1950.

THE DEKAURI’S DESIGNERS

Architect and designer Daniel Germani designed the DeKauri through appointing high-end designers to complete the craft, such as Riva 1920, Cosentino, Fantini Rubinetti, and Juniper. With the mutual goal to build a bathroom storage solution, we released an award-winning bespoke credenza together.

THE BATHROOM VANITY

The Good Design Awards Winner, DeKauri, is defined by its physical attributes that provide a warm aesthetic with its 50,000-year-old Kauri wood by Riva 1920. Inside is a ceramic sink by Cosentino that functions with a brass faucet by Fantini Rubinetti. Juniper was the last to embellish the DeKauri with our THIN Surface Mount Vanity Lights in Satin Brass, powered on and off using the Ground Control Toggle Switch in the same luxurious metal finish.

Best of Year Awards 2018 by Interior Design Winner: The DeKauri x Juniper

We are pleased to announce that Interior Design named the award-winning DeKauri as 2018’s Best of Year Awards Winner! This collaboration is a testament of diverse designers’ ability to work with one another in order to offer a stunning storage solution.

The DeKauri and Its Designers

The freestanding bathroom vanity was designed by Daniel Germani. He brought Juniper, Riva 1920, Cosentino, and Fantini Rubinetti together to craft the Best of Year Awards 2018 Winner, DeKauri.

DeKauri’s central vanity mirror is framed with Juniper’s THIN Surface Mount Vanity Lights, powered and controlled by the Ground Control Toggle Switch for a logical function. Underneath is Cosentino’s clean white ceramic sink etched with a brass faucet spout and circular handles by Fantini Rubinetti. Finally, Riva 1920 fastened all of our designs using 50,000-year-old Kauri wood to build a bathroom vanity credenza.

DeKauri Bespoke Bathroom Vanity Wins German Design Award 2018

German Design Award is an honored awards lineup for outstanding projects with features that have the potential to contribute to the German and international design community. We are thrilled that the DeKauri bespoke bathroom vanity, a collaboration among renowned designers, bagged the Excellent Product Design (Bath & Wellness) Award this year.

The respected Jury of the German Design Award stated about the winning piece:

An exclusive and extravagant piece of furniture that conceals the washbasin behind high-quality cabinet doors. A cabinet realized with consummate craftsmanship that achieves its intended effect – plus, the wood used in it creates a warm atmosphere.

About the Bespoke Bathroom Vanity

Designed by Daniel Germani, the Geman Design Award winner, the DeKauri, was a brainchild of leading international design brands such as Riva 1920, Cosentino, Fantini Rubinetti, and yours truly, Juniper. We collaborated to bring the bespoke bathroom vanity to life to create a freestanding storage solution.

Using 50,000-year-old Kauri wood, Riva 1920 remodeled this into a contemporary bathroom vanity credenza. Completing the unit is Cosentino’s elegant ceramic washbasin. Meanwhile, Fantini Rubinetti embellished the basin using a solid brass faucet. Finally, we contributed our THIN Surface Mount Vanity Lights, operated by our Ground Control Toggle Switch.

We are excited to announce that our design was selected as Interior Design Magazine‘s Best of Year Awards 2018 finalist! Our team would like to extend our gratitude to everyone who supported by voting for Juniper. Winners will be announced on November 30th. THE FINALIST

Our Best of Year Awards 2018 finalist, the THIN Diamond Sconce, comes from our THIN Modular Lighting System, designed by Peter Bristol. Its 12 brass arrays are seamlessly interconnected using magnetic connectors on each end that snap into place. This design also uses diverse standoff heights to allow segments to overlap and add depth.

Since ICFF, the THIN Diamond Sconce stands as an icon that prompts individuals to transpose their design into a magnificent installation. It also serves as a creative lighting solution in residential, commercial, and hospitality space. Go beyond a diamond shape by taking advantage of the THIN Collection’s modular capabilities such as changing the color temperature and the lens finish to exude a hand-selected illumination.

The Axis X, designed by Miren Lasnier at Juniper, branches from a large collection of fixtures that resemble extruded channels, angles, and tees from the Industrial Revolution. It flaunts four powerful light arrays that exude a perpendicular silhouette. This suspended fixture, however, goes beyond its capacity to effortlessly illuminate any space by dimming it to mimic a luxurious sculpture.

Axis X

Designed by Miren Lasnier at Juniper, the Axis X was born from a large collection of industrial-inspired fixtures that express modern aesthetics. It displays four perpendicular light arrays, powerful enough to illuminate an entire space. Users can suspend this fixture in its standard X-shape or radiate a cross silhouette with its + profile. THIN Diamond Sconce

To create a showstopper in ICFF 2018, our team precisely-designed an illuminated piece of art.
