The most rewarding part of collaborating with designers is the satisfaction at the end of the process where both parties know they created something great, together. It takes a talented designer and an innovative manufacturing studio to make a product worthy of the praise. Juniper’s collaboration with designer David Meckley birthed a stunning creation, the Metropolis, an ideal option for a modern conference room lighting.
Huntsman Architectural Group required a custom site-specific lighting design for the up-and-coming ad agency, Argonaut. After previously providing the space with desk lighting, Juniper jumped into action and worked with Huntsman’s design director David Meckley to create the Metropolis system for modern conference room lighting. It was clear Meckley had a vision from the beginning, and it was up to Juniper to assist in design engineering, provide solutions, build parts, and manufacture a high-quality lighting solution.
And so it began. The Metropolis took on a life of its own and grew wildly loved by customers far and wide. Both, the wall-to-wall style and single suspended array system have been used as modern task lighting solutions and are suitable for residential, commercial, and hospitality spaces. The Metropolis in its simplest form is suspended LED lighting with high-lumen output modules. Especially complementary to larger spaces, the Metropolis provides a plethora of light and can be dimmed to adjust to moods and functions of the setting. Illuminate the top hemisphere, bottom hemisphere, or both to adjust direct and indirect light output. These features combined with low-wattage LED technology brings versatility and customizability to any space.
