Peter Bristol’s Design Aesthetic

As an independent lighting, furniture, and product designer, Peter Bristol explores his freedom to design in the most simplistic, minimal form. He has designed an ergonomic mouse for Microsoft, a virtual reality headset for Oculus, and LED lighting, described by Architectural Digest as the most noteworthy of all.

 

Lighting Designs for Juniper

Our on-going collaboration with Peter began with a slender lamp design. Shant Madjarian, Juniper Founder and Owner, believed in this concept and developed the THIN Task Lamp to introduce a minimal lighting solution. Due to the modern table lamp’s success, we worked further with Peter to unveil a THIN Collection, a large modular system of suspended, wall-mounted, and free-standing light fixtures.

Juniper’s ethos goes hand in hand with Peter’s design influence, validating that the devil is in the details. We showcased our new lighting designs from our THIN Collection at International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) such as the THIN Primaries Collection, THIN Multiples Collection, THIN Surface Mount Vanity Light, and the THIN Shared Task Lamp—all designed by Peter for Juniper, to which Shant summarized as:

“[Peter’s] entire mindset is one of reduction. He wants a design to be intuitive, its function to stand out.”
