Modern Decoration Home Magazine has featured the Love Me Not LED pendant light among other minimal and contemporary furniture designs. Artist Pascale Girardin and Brooklyn design studio, Juniper, present Love Me Not, a light-filled pendant that draws from childhood memories of picking petals off of daisies. The Love Me Not is framed by five dramatic, ceramic layers and may be suspended individually or in a cluster to enhance transition and living spaces. The pendant’s impressive casting utilizes a porcelain-finish acrylic, hand-formed for each pendant, ensuring that no two fixtures are identical.
“My approach to design is intuitive and is based on my experience and observations working with and respecting the natural qualities of a given material, resulting in products that are both effortless and elegant. The Love Me Not perfectly epitomizes the spirit of this approach, where each curve has been carefully hand-formed to recreate a flower’s generous and yielding nature,” said Pascale Girardin. The material, developed by famed German manufacturer Evonik, provides a remarkable display of art and light, while emphasizing the lasting quality and performance of ceramic. An innovative use of material, and a thoughtful re-imagination of floral shapes, Love Me Not offers a playful, yet graceful aesthetic that can apply to both traditional and minimalist design schemes.
