In the wave of KBIS 2018, DeKauri, a collaboration by Daniel Germani, Cosentino, Riva 1920 and Juniper, has stolen the spotlight once again. Featuring stunning excavated 50,000-year-old wood, DeKauri blends history with modern design as a bespoke bathroom credenza. Making headlines left and right, DeKauri redefines the modern-day bathroom vanity and basin pairing to a design that can be showcased or hidden based on preference.
Editor At Large Writes ‘Who Wore It Best’ of KBIS 2018
Among stunning designs from Bosch Home and Vanessa Deleon, Editor At Large discusses the Best of KBIS 2018. Themes ranging from black metal finishes to wifi integrated home appliances seemed to be most popular among the booths this year. With clear advances in technology and sleek designs flooding the industry show, DeKauri offers a refreshing nod to tradition and history, packaged in an ultra-modern design. The collaboration included numerous hands in the pot- or sink- so to speak. Finely-crafted wooden doors by Riva 1920 open and tuck away to reveal the contemporary interior. Brass hardware by Fantini Rubinetti adorns the clean white basin by Dekton, while Juniper’s THIN Surface Mount lighting and Ground Control Toggle Switch borders the central mirror.
