Cottages & Gardens featured the award-winning DeKauri bathroom vanity in their April CTC&G issue. The bespoke credenza was a challenge to create a contemporary bathroom solution among leading designers and manufacturers in the industry.
The DeKauri started as a concept to provide a solution to the insufficient bathroom vanity storage available in the market. With the objective to bind the purpose of a sink and a cabinet, it took multiple drafts to fully define the DeKauri. Piece by piece, the idea was born into modern freestanding bathroom storage. Two months after its debut, this bathroom credenza quickly became a recipient of two notable awards, Silver in Kitchen and Bath Industry Awards & ArchDigest Great Design: Bath Award.
Architect & designer Daniel Germani intricately designed the piece. Riva 1920 revamped the 50,000-year old Kauri wood to encase the ceramic washbasin by Cosentino. Fantini Rubinetti added the brass basin hardware. Lastly, Juniper adorned the DeKauri with a sleek pair of solid brass THIN Surface Mount Vanity Lights controlled by the easy flick of a Ground Control Toggle Switch.
