Surface Magazine has released its highlight reel from Salone del Mobile during Milan Design Week 2018. With thousands of vendors, and countless intriguing designs, from furniture, to lighting, to luxury objects and materials, it can be hard to stand out in an event this large. Surface discusses the amazing “U-Joints” exhibition by Juventus, “Typecasting” by Robert Stadler, and Matter Made’s lighting display by Luca Nichetto, Philippe Malouin, and Jamie Gray among their favorites, as well as our latest design collaboration, DeKauri.
Among top exhibitors mentions, sits DeKauri, a collaboration sweeping international tradeshows. Designed by Daniel Germani, and collaborated with Cosentino, Riva 1920, Fantini Rubinetti, and of course, Juniper, the modern bathroom credenza opens its thousands-of-years-old Kauri wooden doors to expose a clean, white basin, vanity mirror, and THIN Surface Mounted Vanity Lights, accompanied by a Satin Brass Ground Control Toggle Switch. Available in two wood-tone styles, the credenza offers a minimalistic design in a well-thought, refined package. DeKauri offers a solution to open when function is needed, and close when users want to disguise the restroom area in areas such as modern hospitality and commercial spaces.
