Architectural Digest Design Show 2019 with Marras Design

Marras Design is a New York City-based firm catered to luxury spaces and high-end lighting design.  Before co-founding his own firm in 2013, Jon-Carlo Marras lead projects for Yale Moyer Lighting for numerous years. There, he built an impressive portfolio including high-profile client homes in the Hamptons like Ina Garten, Helmut Lang, Ray Dalio, André Balazs, and Eli Zabar. Ryan Curtis, Principal of Marras Design, has a practical background in physics, mathematics, and construction, giving him a headstart in functional design.

Together, the design duo creates stunning indoor and outdoor lighting designs. From residential to commercial spaces, and everything in between, their designs include focal lighting installations and ambient architectural lighting.

This year at Architectural Digest Design Show 2019, Juniper contributed lighting to Marras Design’s booth, creating warmth and softness through lighting. The Love Me Not Pendant is featured in the booth’s inset space to provide a warm glow to the indoor/outdoor vignette. Designed by Pascale Girardin, the Love Me Not Pendant offers a delicate serenity with a warm glow as light disperses through porcelain-like satinice Evonik acrylic that’s hand-formed by Juniper’s passionate team.

To illuminate Marras Design’s signage, Juniper contributed the THIN Surface Mount Picture Light in Satin Brass. Designed by Peter Bristol, the THIN Modular Lighting System provides magnetically-connected light segments that extend into custom shapes and lengths with simple installation. LED light segments rotate a full 360° to adjust the light’s beam after installation.
