What’s Camp David’s mission?
Camp David’s mission is to provide entrepreneurs, freelancers and small businesses with flexible and functional workspace within an aesthetically pleasing environment.
Tell us about the design of your space.
The space is comprised of 50k sq ft spanning three floors. It was designed by David M. Sullivan, along with our founders Mazdack Rassi and Erez Shternlicht and they drew inspiration from Mies van der Rohe and Charlotte Perriand. There was an enormous focus on preserving the integrity of the existing space and its history while simultaneously creating a beautiful and timeless work environment–– we love the concrete columns and beams, original pine flooring and of course of view of lady liberty at sunset from our courtyard.
Why did you choose Juniper THIN Task Lamps for the desktops?
Every element of Camp David’s design has been carefully considered, from our custom finishes to our task lamps. We selected the Juniper desk lamp because of its streamlined design and practical functionality embodies Camp David’s mantra of “less is more”. We love supporting independent designers within Industry City’s ecosystem. Camp David is an LED only zone!
What’s your experience in the Industry City’s campus?
We love acting as nucleus for the campus, where members can take care of business or socialize outside of where they spend most their time. It’s inspiring to be surrounded by hundreds of innovative businesses and creative companies and playing a part in the progression of the complex as a whole.
What are your plans for the future of Camp David?
We have been focusing on providing enriching content through events our members love most –– Breakfast discussions, author talks, happy hours. We are gearing up to expand another 20k sq ft within Industry City and are excited to continue growing our community.
