Designing Clarity into the Specification Process

Juniper Introduces Pricing Transparency and Live Configuration

Juniper’s updated website introduces transparent pricing and live configuration across most of our lighting families, creating a clearer path from concept through procurement.

By integrating pricing, refined SKU structures, and updated product geometries directly into the site, designers can evaluate options earlier, coordinate specifications more accurately, and move forward with fewer revisions.

The update addresses several common friction points:

  • Waiting for pricing during early design stages

  • Catching SKU errors in schedules

  • Reconciling geometry between drawings and product documentation

  • Discovering budget conflicts late in the process

  • Revising specifications after approvals

Each of these moments interrupts workflow and adds unnecessary complexity to carefully considered projects. The updated website helps keep the process moving from design intent to implementation.

Real-Time Configuration

At the center of the update is Juniper’s enhanced online configurator.

Users can select key variables such as mounting type, overall length, color temperature, and finish. The system generates a precise configuration code instantly, along with current pricing.

Each configuration reflects Juniper’s latest engineering standards. The result is a specification that is accurate, current, and aligned with the products we manufacture today.

Pricing Transparency

Juniper publishes pricing openly.

Architectural lighting is often specified long before procurement begins, yet pricing is traditionally hidden behind quotes, emails, and intermediaries. That opacity introduces uncertainty at a stage when clarity matters most.

By integrating pricing directly into the configurator, designers can evaluate options immediately. Mounting conditions, lengths, finishes, and light output can be explored with a clear understanding of how each decision affects cost.

Early visibility improves budget alignment, supports internal approvals, and allows for more direct conversations with clients.

Transparency is not a feature. It is part of how Juniper operates.

Aligned with the Way Products Are Built

Product geometries and SKUs across the platform have been refreshed to reflect current production standards. This alignment supports greater consistency between specification, documentation, and fabrication.

Lighting systems are complex. The tools used to specify them should reduce complexity, not add to it.

The updated Juniper platform is designed to do exactly that.

Service is where Juniper really differentiates itself. The THIN Vertical Suspension lights were a great addition to our project, and what stood out most to me was Juniper’s response to any challenges we faced. Their attention to detail and willingness to resolve any issues show their commitment to customer satisfaction.

Our favorite part of working with Juniper is the seamless details provided and the interchangeable parts of the Multiverse System. The finishes were also great and easy to match to the rest of our design.
