THIN SUSPENSION INSTALLED IN TUDOR MODERN
Ruhl Studio Architects renovated a 1920’s brick Tudor home in Newton, Massachusetts making it a Tudor Modern by integrating modern elements with the classic characteristics. While working with the original structure of this 3000 square foot home, the designers found ways to bring in more natural light. One way to achieve this was by constructing an addition on the right side of the house. This extrusion also contributed to “ensure that the contemporary interior restyling made aesthetic sense.” Like many areas of the the home the design team redesigned the kitchen to make better use of its original footprint. They did so by adding storage, an embedded wine fridge, and a sitting area with a recessed fireplace. The kitchen also features the Juniper Thin Suspension over the waterfall island, which aesthetically contributes to the modern interior style.
