Meet Juniper Cylinder: Precision Architectural Lighting with Flexible Mounting and Refined Design

What is Juniper Cylinder?

Juniper Cylinder is our take on a classic silhouette: a minimal, high-performance downlight designed to integrate into refined interiors. Built on the same industry leading light engine as our Red Dot Award winning Multiverse Spotlights, it delivers exceptional light quality with a compact profile.

The Cylinder family is designed for performance across high-end residential, hospitality, and retail environments. Each fixture is precision-machined from aluminum for optimal thermal performance, and finished in Juniper’s exclusive palette of architectural coatings and patinas.

The difference is in the details: optics that are clean and field interchangeable, mounting options that respect architecture, and finishes that elevate every space.

Flexible Mounting Options

Cylinders offer versatile ways to connect to architecture, with three mounting options to suit different spatial and aesthetic needs.

They can be suspended as pendants from either a standard 5-inch canopy or a discreet mini canopy. For surface-mounted applications, Cylinders can be installed with a canopy or brought flush to the ceiling plane with no visible canopy—maintaining a minimal appearance.

They’re also engineered for integration with the Multiverse® system, allowing fixtures to be mounted anywhere along the ribbon track, offering unlimited positioning flexibility and configuration options.

This integration opens new possibilities for lighting design. In hospitality and retail environments, fixtures can be repositioned as layouts evolve, supporting long-term flexibility.

Power distribution through the Multiverse ribbon minimizes the need for conduit or junction boxes—ideal for exposed ceilings or concrete slabs where clean visual lines are critical.

And when wire routing is available, direct-to-surface mounting offers the most discreet expression. Every option is thoughtfully designed to support the architecture, not compete with it.

Discover how the Juniper Cylinder System adapts to your space with flexible mounting and refined design options.

Trims and Accessories

The Cylinder family extends beyond a single beam of light. Designers can shape its performance and expression through a range of interchangeable components.

• Beam angle kits: narrow to extra wide, field changeable on site.

• Optical accessories: wall wash, softening lenses, and hex louvers for glare control.

• Decorative trims: cast translucent elements in amber, smoke, or opal that create a warm horizontal glow without interrupting the beam.

• Form variations: cone trims for distinct pools of light, globe trims for soft general illumination.

Together these tools allow the Cylinder to shift character with context, from precise wall washing to intimate hospitality accents.

Finish Options

Juniper’s Connecticut finishing studio offers the Cylinder in a full range of architectural coatings and patinas:

• Signature Finishes: Satin Brass, Black Oxide, Satin Nickel, English Bronz

• Pro Finishes: Matte Pure White, Matte Black, Satin Aluminum, plus digital color matching to any RAL, Pantone, or Benjamin Moore reference.

• Signature combinations: Multiverse Satin Brass for a unified ribbon plus luminaire expression, or playful multi color assemblies for bold interiors.

Whether disappearing into a quiet minimal space or acting as a vibrant design accent, the finish options are as flexible as the system itself.

Lighting Performance and Quality

At its core, the Juniper Cylinder delivers light with exceptional clarity and control.

With a color rendering index (CRI) of 95+ and strong R9 values, it reveals natural tones with accuracy—making materials, finishes, and skin tones appear true to life.

Its wide gamut output enhances color depth and richness, supporting vibrant material expression across a range of interior palettes.

Engineered for optical precision, the beam is clean and consistent—free from artifacts, color separation, or unwanted spill.

And with flicker-free dimming down to 0.1%, adaptable to various dimming protocols, it supports a wide range of lighting environments and control systems.

Designers can trust that every surface and finish is illuminated with fidelity, bringing out the intent of the space without compromise.

The Juniper Approach

Juniper Cylinder is more than a luminaire. It is a modular family engineered for precision, adaptable across mounting conditions, customizable in finish, and uncompromising in light quality.
