DeKauri, the bespoke bathroom credenza, made its debut at KBIS 2018 last week and it’s made quite a stir! After taking home the Silver Award for Best of Bath 2018 at the show, the design has been making waves through articles like Interior Design and flooding social media! DeKauri has certainly turned heads, catching the attention of DesignMilk, a world-renowned authority in new and upcoming design in the industry. Check out their feature here.
The latest design collaboration by Daniel Germani, Cosentino, and Riva 1920 features a freestanding bathroom credenza. Yes, we said that right- a bathroom credenza. The body is crafted from 50,000-year-old Kauri wood that has been excavated from New Zealand. The ancient, yet modern, doors open and close to reveal or hide the interior basin with functional plumbing beneath a sleek vanity. The rectangular mirror is framed with the THIN Surface Mount, by Juniper. Adjacent shelving provides ample storage space and brass hardware adds to the luxurious, yet humble, aesthetic.
